These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and YOUtility LLC (“YOUtility,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) governing your access to and use of our website, applications, and services (collectively, the “Services”). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
1. What YOUtility Does
YOUtility helps you compare, score, and sign up for utilities — such as electricity, gas, internet, water, trash, lawn care, and pool care — available at a US address. We present provider information and estimates and, where available, help you begin an application with the provider you select. YOUtility is not a utility provider and does not deliver utility service.
2. Estimates & Provider Information
Rates, plans, availability, scores, and monthly cost estimates are provided for comparison and informational purposes and may change without notice. Actual rates, terms, fees, and availability are determined solely by the provider and your enrollment agreement with them. We use reasonable efforts to keep information accurate but do not warrant that it is complete, current, or error-free. Always confirm the details directly with the provider before enrolling.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Services. You agree to provide accurate information and to use the Services only for lawful purposes.
4. Referral Relationships
YOUtility may receive a referral fee from some providers when you sign up through the Services. This commercial relationship never influences your recommendation ranking or score. See our Advertiser Disclosure.
5. Your Responsibilities
- Provide accurate address, contact, and enrollment information.
- Review each provider’s terms before enrolling and maintain your account with that provider.
- Do not misuse, disrupt, scrape, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Services.
6. Intellectual Property
The Services, including the Prometheus scoring engine, text, design, and logos, are owned by YOUtility LLC or its licensors and are protected by law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Services for their intended purpose. All other rights are reserved.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.
8. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, YOUTILITY LLC AND ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless YOUtility LLC from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of your use of the Services or your violation of these Terms.
10. Third-Party Providers & Links
The Services may contain links to, or facilitate enrollment with, third-party providers whose products and websites are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party products, services, or content.
11. Changes to the Services or Terms
We may modify the Services or these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted with a new “Last updated” date and are effective when posted. Your continued use constitutes acceptance.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Wyoming, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
